KECNS Field trips
Throughout the year, KECNS students participate in field trips and enjoy guest presentations, with parent participation welcome.
Monthly visit to Kent Memorial library in Kent, CT Students and teachers walk through downtown Kent to the library (www.kentmemoriallibrary.org/). The children's room librarian facilitates story time and a craft, and each child chooses a book to take home. |
Visit the Trevor Zoo in Millbrook, NY
Students and teachers explore the unique animals (red panda, wolf, iguana, lemur, etc.) at the Trevor zoo (www.millbrook.org/trevor-zoo-home). This 6-acre zoo houses 80 different species of animals, eight of which are endangered.
Visit Audubon Center in Sharon, CT
Students and teachers visit the Audubon center in Sharon, CT (sharon.audubon.org/) to see birds of prey and to do hands on learning through nature.
